Swak

In 2000 Thilo Grauheding, the ambitious dentist and current managing director of Swak Experience UG, opened his dental office in Morbach Hunolstein. Driven by the idea to create a "tooth consciousness" among people, which is based on an attentive, gentle and preventive tooth cleaning, he developed an exchangeable toothbrush completely made of natural materials for a precise solo prophylaxis, in which each tooth is carefully cleaned individually. The main component of the Swak toothbrush is the head made of the name-giving root wood of the toothbrush tree Salvadora persica, which is also known as Miswak or Siwak and naturally contains tooth-protecting and cleaning substances. The toothbrush tree is native to the deserts of Arabia, the Near East and East Africa, where it has been used for centuries for dental care.

Production, assembly and packaging are carried out by companies in the region, such as DRK-Sozialwerk, Bernkastel-Kues, and Wellgo-Spritzguss, Nohfelden. The Miswak wood is professionally fiberized to the fine Swak heads in home work in Morbach.

Feedback from users is very valuable for further development. As a practising dentist Thilo Grauheding has been collecting experience from patients with Swak products for years in order to constantly improve them.

Probably the most natural toothbrush in the world is a piece of Miswak from the Salvadora persica toothbrush tree in the Arabian desert. Miswak is the root wood of the practical tree, also known in this country as the arak tree. The special wood of the tree naturally contains tooth care and infection-inhibiting ingredients. Another advantage: No water is required for cleaning teeth with Miswak. The Miswak stick is about 15 centimetres long and is sealed in fresh and untreated immediately after harvesting. Correct use of the Miswak stick After opening the vacuum package, remove a small piece of the bark from one end of the miswak. You can do this
