From porcelain to plastic
The German family business Waca is producing Wares to be sold all over the world since 1929. Initially the factory used porcelain as the base material for their goods, soon having a parallel production using Bakelit, the first plastic every industrially manufactured. These days most kitchen goods manufactured by Waca consist of fiber-reinforced plastic. The material is extremely light, oil- and water resistant, breakproof, neutral to taste and heat-resistant. All in all an ideal product for fans of the outdoors.
