Responsible Down Standard – Down from animal-friendly farming
Goose and duck down offer fascinating properties: despite their low weight, they provide excellent thermal insulation and are highly breathable. The down used to fill this VAUDE product is certified according to the independent Responsible Down Standard (RDS), ensuring compliance with strict animal welfare criteria.
Mummy – heat-efficient mummy cut
The tapered mummy cut is a proven design for sleeping bags. Thanks to the close-fitting shape that narrows towards the feet, there is less air volume inside the bag that needs to be heated, making this cut particularly heat-efficient. Additionally, the fit contributes to a low pack weight and excellent compressibility. The functional hood design and the thermal collar (depending on the model) prevent cold air from entering, making the mummy sleeping bag a reliable companion in cool weather.
H-Chamber Construction – Chambers keep the down in place
VAUDE down sleeping bags feature a sophisticated internal chamber construction for the fill. This compartmentalization divides the interior of the sleeping bag to keep the down evenly distributed and in place. The slanted H-chamber construction prevents cold spots and offers an optimal balance between thermal performance and weight. The down used combines low weight with superior thermal properties.
