Trek'n Eat

In 2004, the Katadyn Group (which also owns the cooker brand Optimus) took over Trekking-Mahlzeiten GmbH in Germany and has been running it since then under the name Trek'n Eat. This was Katadyn's entry into the field of freeze-dried outdoor food. The company produces special food that is prepared as a ready meal with water on trips, expeditions, on boats and on excursions into nature. Trek'n Eat meals consist of high-quality, freeze-dried ingredients, so that important vitamins and minerals are preserved. No flavor enhancers are added to the dishes, nor do they contain coloring or preservatives. The main meals are based on a value of 600 calories per pack and thus cover the increased energy consumption during physical activity. They are expedition-proof packed in waterproof and resealable stand-up pouches.
