StrataCore™ Construction
Yielding an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio for self-inflating foam, StrataCore™ uses a continuous layer of thermal foam nestled between alternating ridges of air and foam.
WingLock™ Valve
In order to simplify and accelerate the inflation and deflation of the mat, Therm-A-Rest has invented the WingLock™ valve. For this purpose they have enlarged the air channel of the valve, which guarantees a faster air flow. The one-way check valve makes it easier for you to inflate the mat. It prevents the air from flowing out when you inflate the mat. By turning the wings you can easily release the air.
R-value
The R-value (thermal resistance value) is a measurement of a given material’s resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-Value, the greater the insulating effectiveness and the slower the heat flow through it.
