The German company, founded by Karl Steiner, just recently celebrated its 70. Jubilee! High quality handicraft and workmanship, carried out first to last in Steiners own factory in Bayreuth, makes Steiner a world market leader in many sectors, among them professional marine binoculars. This does not keep the company from pursuing innovations and compete against itself. Since 2008 Steiner-Optik is part of the Baretta group.

The military
Steiner-Optik focuses on hunters, sailors and bird-watchers. Apart from this the US-Army and other armies as well as the police use Steiner-Optik binoculars.
