Shakaloha

What do wool jackets, a camper van and Aloha have to do with one another? Not much, you would say. But when learn some details about the brand's owner André Blom it will make sense. As a passionate surfer André always felt the need for a jacket to get warm after a hard-core surfing session. He knew there were jackets on the market, but they were never neat nor comfortable. And there was always an old-fashioned feel to them. So he started his own range. The great result: knitted wool jackets lined with fleece, warm and comfortable as well as with an eye for detail, fit and colour.

Shakaloha is about loving what you do: travel, be outdoors, follow your heart. André incorporates work with pleasure, linking business to hobby, wherever he is. And so he drives through Northern Europe in his camper van (of course also including his surf board) and visits his clients personally. Passion brought him to name his brand Shakaloha. The Hawaiian word Aloha stands for the joyful sharing of life energy. The brand combines it with two connected shaka-hand signs, the positive sign of praise and ‘relaxedness’. Starting from the idea that people love to share their passion and his own love of surfing, André wanted Shakaloha to ooze positivity, inspiration, joy and a follow-your-dream attitude. And he does!
