RET-value
RET stands for resistance to evaporating heat transfer. The RET value defines the resistance that a textile fabric opposes to moisture vapor. The lower the resistance the higher the breathability of the fabric. The RET value is evaluated in the following established classification:
RET value 0 - 6: very good moisture vapor transmission
RET value 6 - 13: good moisture vapor transmission
RET value 13 - 20: satisfactory moisture vapor transmission
RET value 20+: unsatisfactory moisture vapor transmission
Recco® system
Recco® reflectors are useful safety features for winter and mountain sports enthusiasts and can save lives in the event of an accident. The small transmitters are inconspicuously integrated into special clothing, helmets or equipment and help to find buried victims more quickly in an emergency. In the event of an avalanche, the Recco® mountain rescue detector sends out a search signal using highly developed radar technology. This is reflected back by Recco® reflectors on the winter sports enthusiasts. This enables the mountain rescue team to locate the buried victim under the snow more quickly. Recco® reflectors emit a continuously strong signal and have an unlimited service life. They do not need to be switched on or off and do not require a battery. This ensures that the reflectors are always ready and can be located at any time if necessary. More than 800 winter sports resorts and rescue teams worldwide now use the Recco® rescue system.
