Ecorrect philosophy
Unusual but succesful – in Kiel, a town at the Baltic Sea with no mountains far and wide, Timo Reschke founded PYUA, one of the hip labels for functional and stylish ski and snowboard clothes. But that is not the only special thing about Pyua: it is also the unique sustainability concept which belongs to the firm's philosophy: the „ecorrect philosophy“.

Close-Loop-Recycling
In cooperation with special recycling partners PYUA developed a unique, highly efficient retraction system for its products using the known drop-off boxes for used clothes. All PYUA clothes are equipped with a micro chip so that a simple sorting is guaranteed. High qualified firms do the professional textile recycling producing new materials with equal value. These materials are used for the production of new PYUA clothes. That means that no PYUA product ends up in the trash – thanks to the clever Close-Loop-Recycling. This recycling system minimizes litter production, consumption of energy and CO2, as well as unnecessary consumption of crude oil.

Ecological and social responsibility
With its Close-Loop-Recycling PYUA produces „ecorrect outerwear“ which reduces its ecological footprint. Furthermore all products are made in Europe. But PYUA not only assumes ecological but also social responsibility, respecting working conditions and social standards. PYUA joined the Fair Wear Foundation and is also a bluesign® system partner. It's no wonder that PYUA won several prices like the Bundespreis Ecodesign, the ISPO Award Gold Winner or the ECO Responsibility Award.
