The American company PopUp Grill sells exactly what it is advertising: a fold-able barbecue grill. With the innovative design of this barbecue grill the Swedish designer Jonas Rylander won the highly sought-after Red Dot Design Award in 2012. His main focus was functionality. Folded up the grill needs very little storage space. Folded out it can do everything a real grill can. Itīs the perfect compromise between a conventional grill and a disposable model.
A conscious decision in favour of our environment
The innovative design was meant to offer the highest level of functionality. The grill can be used standing on its four feet or hung op from a tree, either filled with coal or hung over a fire. Letīs hope this innovation will make disposable grills and with them the higher amount of waste unnecessary, while still leaving enough room in our bags for essential equipment.
