Down Codex®
Mountain Equipment is committed to a transparent and traceable supply chain for the down it uses. All new down and feathers are certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Additionally, the company's own Down Codex ensures the traceability of the down used. Each down product features a unique code that allows the origin and supply chain of the down to be traced, creating transparency throughout the procurement process. Furthermore, every batch is tested by the independent testing institute IDFL for cleanliness, composition, and fill power using the IDFB method.
Drilite® Loft
Drilite® Loft is a lightweight membrane fabric featuring a microporous polyurethane coating and a hydrostatic head of 1,500 mm. This water-repellent and breathable material helps protect the insulation in jackets and sleeping bags from wind, snow, and moisture. This helps maintain the insulation's performance even in cold, damp conditions and preserves the loft of the filling for longer.
