Down Codex®
Mountain Equipment is committed to a transparent and traceable supply chain for the down it uses. All new down and feathers are certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Additionally, the company’s own Down Codex ensures complete traceability of the down used. Each down product features a unique code that allows the origin and supply chain of the down to be traced, thereby ensuring transparency in Mountain Equipment’s down sourcing. Furthermore, every batch is tested by the independent testing institute IDFL for cleanliness, composition, and fill power in accordance with the IDFB method.
Drilite® Loft
Drilite® Loft is a lightweight membrane fabric featuring a microporous polyurethane coating and a hydrostatic head of 1,500 mm. This water-resistant and breathable material helps protect the insulation in jackets and sleeping bags from wind, snow, and moisture. This supports the performance of the insulation—even in cold, damp conditions—and helps maintain the fill's loft for longer.
