Down Codex®
Mountain Equipment is committed to a transparent and traceable supply chain for the down it uses. All new down and feathers are certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). Additionally, the company's own Down Codex ensures the traceability of the down used. Each down product features a unique code that allows the origin and supply chain of the down to be traced. This enables Mountain Equipment to create transparency throughout the down sourcing process. Furthermore, every batch is tested by the independent testing institute IDFL for cleanliness, composition, and fill power using the IDFB method.

Drilite® Loft
Drilite® Loft is a lightweight membrane material featuring a microporous polyurethane coating and a hydrostatic head of 1,500 mm. The water-resistant and breathable material helps protect the insulation inside jackets and sleeping bags from wind, snow, and moisture. This helps maintain the insulation's performance—even in cold, damp conditions—and preserves the loft of the filling for longer.

Polarloft® Insulation
Polarloft® is a synthetic insulation made from a blend of polyester microfibers and 3D fibers. Its lightweight fiber structure traps air, offering a balanced combination of warmth, low weight, and a compact pack size. Unlike traditional down, Polarloft® largely retains its insulating properties when wet and dries quickly, making it an ideal material for outdoor clothing used in changeable weather conditions.
