Maloja

Peter Räuber, Andreas Stern and Klaus Haas wanted to go snowboarding. Searching for a place far away from from tourism, full pistes and après-ski –looking for something completely different. And in the little village Maloja in the Swiss Engadin they a gem. All round there is nothing - apart from meadows and woods, nature and quiet. And on one of these unforgettable snow days in the Maloja valley the idea to create a sportswear label and naming it „maloja“ arose. And so maloja was born in 2004. But Maloja is more than a little village and more than the name of the sports brand from the Chiemgau - Maloja has become a corporate philosophy: Determined to choose ways off the mainstream, focusing on the simple and important things of life. Being able to enjoy and to interact with nature and people in an honest and caring way.

Different, authentic and mindful of nature
All design inspirations are topics which are on maloja's mind. With passion the label designs clothes for all those who share maloja's enthusiasm for sports and nature. For every sports the enterprise based in Bach/Chiemsee holds the perfect functional outfit ready – whether it is biking, freeriding, climbing or snowboarding. A streetwear line tops off the collection. Today maloja is represented in 25 countries.
