Description

The CJH rescue knife, featuring a drop-point blade with serrated edges, is built for rugged, everyday use. Thanks to the thumb studs, both left- and right-handed users can open the knife quickly; a liner lock mechanism serves as a safety feature. The blade has a black finish and is made of AISI 420 stainless steel with partial serrations. A glass breaker, belt cutter, and belt clip are additional great features of the knife. However, it’s not only technically excellent but also looks stylish! This is largely thanks to the aluminum handle scales, whose unique design and contrasting-color plates make the knife a real eye-catcher!

AISI 420 – 1.4021
Grade 420, like most higher-carbon non-stainless steels it can be hardened by heat treatment. It contains a minimum of 12 per cent chromium (Cr), just sufficient to give corrosion resistance properties. It has good ductility in the annealed condition but is capable of being hardened up to Rockwell Hardness 50 through heat treatment. Its best corrosion resistance is achieved when the metal is hardened and surface ground or polished.

Liner-Lock
When the blade of the knife is in the opened position, it is held in place by a leaf spring (called lockbar) that butts up against the tang of the blade to prevent the blade from closing. To release the lock, the you must press the lockbar back toward the handle side, at which time the blade is allowed to close. In the closed position the lockbar rests alongside the handle and the blade.
