Grüezi bag is a young Bavarian brand that develops and manufactures innovative, high-quality outdoor gear and clothing. Grüezi bag’s sleeping bags, in particular, have won multiple awards for their advanced insulation technology.

Although wool has been used for blankets for centuries and was also successfully employed as an insulating material in winter jackets early on, it had not been used in sleeping bags until 2016. Until then, they were filled with either down or synthetic fibers. “Challenge accepted,” said Markus Wiesböck, the founder of Grüezi bag, and after a long, labor-intensive development period and numerous tests, he launched the first sleeping bags in 2016 that were filled with a blend of down and alpine wool. In 2017, he finally developed the first generation of DownWool® filling, which combines the positive properties of down and wool. Since then, the filling and design of the sleeping bags have been continuously improved. Always the focus: an optimal, comfortable sleeping environment for restful sleep.

Other innovative outdoor products, such as a mosquito net for the sleeping bag, heated liner bags, as well as insulated clothing and functional shirts, are now part of the company’s product range. With its “Green Codex,” Grüezi bag has also set high standards for animal welfare and nature conservation.
