The Portuguese term desenrasco stands for not taking one's problems so seriously, for recognising with creativity and brains that every difficulty holds an opportunity and then simply tackling them with ease. It is not only the Portuguese way of life, but above all the craftsmanship that inspires. Each pair of shoes is handmade in about 4 hours from up to 50 European parts in a small family manufactory in Portugal. The welted manufacturing process is extremely elaborate, but at the same time the reason for the high-quality result. The shoes are particularly durable and can be easily repaired later if necessary. Each pair a sustainable one-of-a-kind
desenrasco only uses aniline leather, a leather that has not been treated with dyes or plastics. This protects the environment and the wearer is not exposed to carcinogenic chemical substances. The shoe remains open-pored and guarantees wonderful breathability. The leather is purely vegetable tanned, which means it retains its individual characteristics such as grain and shading. When it comes into contact with heat and water, it also develops a beautiful, unique patina that makes every shoe something very special.
