Blaek
Right good coffee - anytime and anywhere
Hamburg's start-up Blaek was founded in 2019 by two students, Luis Herget and Edgar Kirst. Their ambitious goal: to bring an instant coffee to the market that doesn't taste like instant coffee - and that everyone can enjoy anytime and anywhere. That's because the two coffee lovers are convinced that coffee should not only wake you up, but also be an invitation to take a break. They were always "shocked" by the difference between a "real" coffee in a café and soluble coffee on a trekking tour and wanted a delicious coffee without much effort for their outdoor activities.

Coffee enjoyment without typical instant coffee taste
The two founders ultimately achieved this ambitious goal via their special concept with lots of fine-tuning and freeze-drying: the beans are harvested, brought directly to Germany, gently roasted and ground there, and then boiled with water. However, this water is then removed again in a special process, so that a concentrate is produced, so to speak, which is then freeze-dried. All the aromas and flavors of the coffee are retained and are released again when the coffee is infused with hot water. Blaek's innovative brewing process eliminates the typical "instant coffee taste" - and what remains is really good coffee that you can enjoy anywhere, anytime.
