Real product testing in the mountains
Founded nearly twenty years ago, gear manufacturer Big Agnes follows the idea of making the best possible gear to bring outdoor lovers like you and me even closer to the immediate outdoors. In doing so, they believe that innovation can only come from real-world product testing, where gear is pushed to its limits. The Big Agnes test site is within sight of their office, as the manufacturer is based in a ski town in northwest Colorado, overlooking an outdoor paradise of high alpine peaks.

Eco-friendly dyeing
Big Agnes is the first gear manufacturer to produce solution-dyed tent body and outer tent fabrics. Bikepacking tents, for example, are produced with solution-dyed fabrics that dramatically reduce water and energy consumption during manufacturing. As a result, solution-dyed fabrics increase its quality through UV resistance and are better for the environment because they prevent CO2 and waste water from being generated during the dyeing process.
