Green Shape
With the Green Shape label, Vaude offers functional, environmentally friendly products made from sustainable materials. Fair working conditions throughout the supply chain are also taken into account during production. The Green Shape criteria are based on the certification of textiles according to the bluesign® system. The strict criteria for assessment are transparent and are continuously reviewed. They cover the entire life cycle of the product - from design and production to care, repair and recycling. The "end of life" of the product is also strictly ecologically regulated: It must be possible to dispose of it without special treatment or it must be recyclable.
Organic Cotton
The Organic Cotton logo guarantees the use of certified organic cotton. Chemical fertilisers and pesticides are as taboo as genetically modified seeds. Worldwide, 25 % of all insecticides and 11 % of all pesticides are used in conventional cotton cultivation, although cotton is grown on just over 2 % of the total global agricultural area. Organic cotton helps to contain these toxins.
Vaude Renewable Materials
To produce this product, Vaude uses renewable vegetable or animal-based raw materials. In this way, Vaude saves fossil raw materials.
Vaude Recycled Materials
To manufacture these products, Vaude uses recycled materials such as PET bottles. This saves up to 50 % energy and CO₂ emissions as well as fossil raw materials.
