H₂No® Performance Standard
H₂No® Performance Standard is Patagonia’s proprietary standard for waterproof and breathable technical apparel. Depending on the product, various membranes, coatings, and material constructions are used. Under this standard, materials and finished products undergo testing for—among other things—waterproofness, breathability, water repellency, and durability. Part of the testing process is the so-called "Killer Wash," in which materials are subjected to repeated mechanical stress and subsequently re-tested for waterproofness. Thus, H₂No® does not designate a specific membrane, but rather a material and product construction that meets Patagonia’s Performance Standard requirements.

Pertex Quantum®
Pertex Quantum® is a very lightweight material, weighing less than 30 g/m². Thanks to the use of fine, durable yarn, the material features a high density. Despite its low weight, it demonstrates good tear and seam strength and is frequently used for high-performance products such as jackets or sleeping bags.

Recycled Down Fill
The down is sourced from collected clothing and bedding, separated from other materials, cleaned, sorted, and sterilized at 135°C. Subsequently, only high-quality down with excellent fill power is selected for reuse.

About Fair Trade Certified™
Fair Trade Certified™ is a certification program administered by Fair Trade USA covering various segments of the supply chain. Different standards apply depending on the production sector, each with specific social, economic, and environmental requirements. For textile and apparel manufacturing facilities, the Fair Trade USA Factory Production Standard (FPS) applies. This standard encompasses requirements regarding working conditions, worker rights, occupational health and safety, equal treatment, working hours, and environmental management. Another component of the program is the Fair Trade Premium; additional funds are provided to certified production facilities. These funds flow into a pool managed by employee representatives, who decide on their allocation to support projects aimed at improving living conditions in the employees' communities. Compliance with the relevant standards is monitored through regular audits conducted by independent bodies.
