Merino Cool Tec
The combination of fine merino wool and sustainably produced Tencel™ cellulose fibers is more robust and has a cooling effect. In a complex process (Corespun technology), the merino and Tencel™ fibers are spun around a polyamide core. The resulting yarn has the same advantages as merino wool and Tencel™ and is also very robust.

Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) ensures that sheep are kept in a humane and sustainable manner by focusing on animal welfare and responsible agriculture. Practices such as mulesing are not permitted. It promotes the traceability of wool along the entire supply chain, creating transparency for consumers. In addition, the standard takes social aspects into account by supporting fair working conditions on farms and requires independent verification to ensure compliance with the guidelines.
Ortovox Wool Promise (OWP)
The wool used by Ortovox is not only certified according to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), but they also follow their own wool promise, the Ortovox Wool Promise (OWP). The Responsible Wool Standard serves as the basis. In addition, Ortovox goes a few steps further to be able to offer fair wool with the Ortovox Wool Promise: Through its OWP, Ortovox can trace the creation of the products back to their origins, thus creating good transparency at all levels. Ortovox maintains a very close relationship with the OWP farmers and is regularly on site. Multi-year contracts are concluded with the wool farmers and the farmers practice sustainable agriculture in order to create an optimal basis for people and animals for generations. In addition, Ortovox regularly brings together various interest groups in the wool supply chain and offers a platform for critical discussions, transparency and new approaches to solutions.
