Another label - even more confusion?

No - quite the opposite! With our "in-house" sustainability label, we want to make it easier for you to get an overview. Because sustainably produced articles deserve to be highlighted.

Why our own label?

Up to now, we have mainly assigned our range to the official environmental labels (such as bluesign® or Fair Trade). Then we realised that many producs that were produced sustainably could not be listed because there is no registered label for these aspects. These include, for example, organic cotton, BPA-free or the re-soleability of shoes - all important criteria for a more ecological choice!

Together with the official labels, these aspects are now also included in our "Nachhaltig Unterwegs" label.

How could we present this in the best way?

Not an easy decision! After all, you should be able to recognise the products sustainable value with one look at our label.

Today, everyone knows the 5-star system in online reviews. Ok, so it should be something along those lines - but not with stars - we'll take feet, with the ecological footprint in mind. The more green feet a product has, the more sustainable the product is. Whew, 5 feet makes the label pretty full though - and what if an item would earn 8?

So let's do it this way now:

Depending on how many sustainable criteria the product fulfils, that's how many "feet" it gets in our label: 1 up to 3+.

This gives you the opportunity to honour sustainable production methods with your product choice.
