With the Care Plus® Tick-Out tick remover, a tick can be removed easily and safely
The special gripping head ensures that the tick is grabbed firmly with minimum risk that any part of the tick is damaged, allowing a complete, “clean” removal, leaving no claws, pincers, of parts in the victim’s skin / bite-wound. The gripping surface also has a recess for the removal of nymphs, a development phase of young ticks. The tweezers kit includes clear instructions and two (2) alcohol pads to disinfect the bite area AFTER removing the tick. Tip: Use Care Plus® DEET before you start an outdoor activity, which will prevent tick bites.

In Germany 1 out of 5 ticks are infected with the Borreliose bacteria, which causes Lyme disease. This disease, if it is not treated correctly, may cause severe symptoms in the muscles, joints, the central nervous system, and the heart. The tick injects the aforementioned bacteria whilst sucking the blood. It is therefore very important that the tick must be removed with the tick remover as quickly as possible, preferably within 8 up to 24 hours. The tick remover prevents the tick becoming irritated or that a part of the tick remains behind. About 10% of the bites of ticks cause an infection of the Lyme disease. If you have removed the tick with a tick remover within 24 hours, the risk of getting an infection becomes minimal.
