The Akkarvik down jacket keeps you warm in any weather with its water-repellent down filling! With Crystal Down® Dry, Y by Nordisk creates reliable warmth that you can count on even in humid conditions: Unlike conventional down, which can clump in damp conditions and lose thermal performance, the Crystal Down® Dry filling uses high-quality sustainable European goose down, which is treated with a water-repellent DWR coating in a special process. So you always enjoy optimal thermal performance.The Akkarvik down jacket is made of a waterproof outer fabric with XD Tech membrane and also features particularly discreet seams: The construction with sealed seams protects the down from moisture from the outside, keeps the down in place and is so discreet that the down jacket is not bulky. The intelligent membrane allows heat to escape when you're too warm and traps heat when you're cold - for optimum climate comfort. Sustainability is not neglected either: recycled materials are used for the outer material and the lining, and animal welfare is a central element of the Crystal Down.

Crystal Down Dry™
Down has a tendency to collapse when wet. Through the sophisticated QuixDown Technology it is possible to prevent the down from absorbing water. Yeti calls Crystal Down treated with this technology Crystal Down Dry™. Of course, Yeti's Ethical Down Code applies to Crystal Down Dry also.
