Vaude
The Vaude success story began in 1974 when Albrecht von Dewitz entered the young mountaineering equipment market with his own products. Based on his initials, he decided on the company name "Vaude" (pronounced fau-de) and began producing the first backpacks. In the meantime, Vaude is known worldwide in the outdoor industry and the product selection is huge: from waterproof bags, backpacks and clothing to accessories and tents. Everything is produced in an environmentally friendly manner, under fair conditions and in a timeless design for the longest possible product life. Since 2022, both the company and all products have been climate-neutral, because Vaude's goal is to pass on an intact nature to future generations through forward-looking and sustainable management and to carry on the fascination for the mountain world.
