SeaCell™ MT
SeaCell™ MT fibers are special fibers of the Smartfiber AG consisting of algae and cellulose. The brown algae used for these fibers come from Icelandic fjords, where they are harvested gently and sustainably. After harvest the algae leaves are dried, comminuted and pulverized in a natural and gentle process. In a following process, the algae are directly and uniformly integrated into the cellulose fibers using the special modal technology which is energy- and resource-conserving. This technology ensures that the properties of algae will be preserved even after many wash cycles. SeaCell™ MT fibers are carbon neutral and 100 % biodegradable.
