It is not only lightweight but also mutlifunctional. The built-in UV protection only allows about 1 / 40 of occurring ultraviolet radiation tp penetrate the fabric. Supplex DWR- UPF 40+
Soft, sturdy and easy-care functional fabric made from polyamide yarns with a durably water-resistant outer surface. The fabric offers a UV protection factor of 40+, that means that only 1/40 of the damaging UV A and UV B rays can penetrate the fabric, 97.5 % of the rays are filtered. The UV protection is integrated in the fiber and is not a result of an additional treatment. Thus the protection is durable and also sweat and water resistant.
