Patagonia Tin Shed 6 Waterproof
Waterproof work boot made of full-grain leather with a resoleable Vibram® sole
There's work to be done before the snow - and face shots - fly; lace on the Tin Shed 6 Waterproof when it's time to batten down the hatches. The work boot features a full-grain leather upper and waterproof construction that seals out weather. Moisture-wicking recycled polyester lining keeps feet dry. Recycled (70%) polyurethane footbed is supportive and comfortable. Internal EVA padding in weight-bearing areas of welt gasket provides superior flexibility. Supportive polyurethane comfort chamber has natural thermal protection for long hours on hard, cold surfaces. Vibram® rubber sole grips slick, varied surfaces. Welt construction is designed to resole locally.

Ecostep™
During the shoe-manufacturing process, scrap rubber is left on the cutting-room floor. But that doesn’t mean it has to end up in the landfill. A number of Patagonias soles are made with Ecostep, a Vibram®-formulated compound that uses up to 30% recycled scrap rubber that would otherwise be thrown away. Ecostep is highly abrasion resistant and provides great traction in all kinds of weather and terrain.
Better Leather
Keeping true to Patagonias mission statement – build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm – Patagonia believes that leather is currently the best material available for footwear. Other materials don’t offer the same levels of durability, breathability and foot protection that leather provides. Leather is also a by-product of the meat industry. If we don’t use the hides they will end up in landfills where they could take hundreds of years to erode. We work with two groups who demand that the minimal environmental footprint in the tanneries we use be monitored and at least maintained, if not reduced.
