Brede is not a lightweight jacket intended for 'cityclimbing'. Today, many jackets sell on low weight and style. Brede is an exception. It is designed for climbing with special emphasis on winter tours and expeditions. Cut to allow warm clothing underneath. We have created a comfortable, hard wearing jacket that will last a long time and give you the best possible protection.

Waterproof Membranes.
Cutan Stretch – Laminated PU membrane, now with a new membrane that has reduced RET resistance to 5-6 depending on the fabric. WP 25+ (the limit of our equipment). This membrane is used on all our newly developed materials. It is very elastic, making it possible to produce super-elastic materials that are fantastically soft and supple. After having tried an all stretch jacket in these materials it is difficult to put on a stiff jacket again.
Cutan stretch comes in several qualities; we use 175 gr/m2 mechanical stretch for Froste and Brede etc, and lycra superstretch for the Noatun jacket.
