Green Shape products meet Vaude’s stringent standards for ecological products: they consist of at least 90 percent bluesign® certified materials, or at least 90 percent of the main material used offers a significant added ecological advantage (for example organic cotton).
Recycletex
Vaude produces its Recycletex material from PET plastic bottles. Afte use, the bottles are cleaned, ground up, and then processed to yarns. This yarn can be either interweaved with other materials or used on its own, for example as lining in bags or backpacks. For bags of the "Recycled" series, the outer material is a mixed fabric made of 55% polyethylene and 45% polyester while the lining fabric is made of 100% polyethylene.
